2009 Demo Tape Archive Project

My major music project for 2009 is the archival of all my 4 track demo tapes. Until digital audio took over my method of recording demos, everything was recorded on 90 minute Maxell XLII audio tapes. I have a small Tascam Ministudio Porta 02 that I am running into my Macbook Pro laptop and archiving everything as 320k MP3s. I am also rediscovering tons of music that I have not played in years and honestly forgot I had written. I have 118 tapes, 177 hours and 10,620 minutes of tape to go through. The mics I used were pretty lo-fi so I am not expecting much from these mixes. But they were a method for capturing my ideas and acted as my journal throught the 90's. Hoping to find a bunch of lost diamonds in the rough.

Next gig is April 25th at the U District Trabant in Seattle. Hope you can make it out!
